The Rise of Sustainable Cleaning Options- Get Your Green Online!

When binge-watching Netflix became too much for many of us, there was a rise in interest in cleaning tips and accounts that boomed on Instagram. With more time spent at home with kids and adults sharing space (for better or worse), the ongoing struggle to keep things clean gained new attention. As part of this rise, we also saw interest in more green alternatives that perform well and will not harm the earth we hope to leave for our kids after we return to more typical routines.

Many products offer great cleaning performance of course but certain product categories also offer less packaging for ease of delivery and space-saving benefits as well.

  • Tru Earth Laundry strips or Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets - Highly effective detergent that competes with any of the mass-produced commercial products but is highly concentrated into a strip that dissolves and works with any type of washing machine. They are hypoallergenic and space-saving which has wide appeal for people with limited mobility, living in apartments, dorms, or even while traveling.
  • Wool dryer balls-  Did you know there is a non-toxic, eco-friendly way to reduce static and wrinkles from your clothes, linens and towels AND it can save up to 25% on your dryer bill? The news is getting out! There was a 30% increase in searches for dryer balls in November as many people found them to be a unique gift option for the person who has everything.
  • Bar dish soap- This "new" dish washing option is a little more challenging to adapt to compared to the laundry strips and wool dryer balls, but it is quickly gaining traction as a go-to option for people who wish to reduce plastic waste from their household routines. In fact, searches for solid dish soap have increased a whopping 423% over the past two years!
